Compassionate support through liminal spaces

My Specialties

  • For those moving through grief

Grief takes many forms — the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a shift in identity, displacement, and so much more. I hold space for sorrow, uncertainty, and the slow work of integration, honoring grief as a sacred part of the human experience. Together, we’ll navigate this journey with compassion and care, allowing healing and meaning to emerge in your own time.

  • For those highly sensitive ones

You notice what others miss—the small shifts in a room, the beauty in everyday moments, the weight of the world’s pain. That sensitivity can feel like both a gift and a burden. In therapy, we honor your depth without asking you to toughen up or tune out. Together we’ll explore ways to stay grounded, set boundaries, and let your sensitivity become a source of connection and strength rather than exhaustion.

  • For those longing for belonging

It can be lonely to feel like you don’t quite fit—whether in your family, community, or even in your own skin. That ache for connection is real, and it deserves care. In therapy, we make space to explore identity, relationships, and the places you feel most at home. With compassion and curiosity, we work toward a sense of belonging that starts within you and extends outward into the communities and connections that nourish you.

  • For those seaching for meaning

I support you in exploring life’s big, unanswerable questions—whether they arise from spiritual experience, a sense of mystery, or the fear that nothing lies beyond this life. Grounded in an existential approach, I welcome the full spectrum of being human: doubt, wonder, dread, awe, and everything in between. You don’t need to hold any particular belief to be met here. Together, we create space for what resists easy answers and listen for the quiet wisdom beneath the surface.

  • For those in transition

I support people through life changes—coming out, moving, endings and beginnings, celebrations, or stepping into a new chapter of identity or purpose. These threshold moments can be tender, disorienting, and powerful all at once. You don’t have to move through them alone. I offer a steady, compassionate presence as you honor the transition, integrate what’s been, and welcome what’s ahead.

  • For those carrying the weight of the world

Many of us feel deeply for the state of the world—for humans, plants, and animals alike. Witnessing injustice can bring grief, anger, or helplessness. In therapy, you’ll find a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore these feelings. Together, we can reconnect with meaning and purpose, clarify where to direct your energy, and cultivate grounded presence even amid uncertainty.

About Me

A person with short dark hair and earrings smiling outdoors with green trees in the background.

My path to becoming a therapist and guide began, like many, with my own search for healing. I grew up deeply attuned to the emotional undercurrents around me — and, at times, overwhelmed by them. As I moved through life, I began asking questions about how to make meaning, how to honor both difference and interconnection, and how to begin to untangle from the impact of capitalist and colonial ideologies. Along the way, I learned to see my sensitivities not as burdens, but as sources of insight — and to turn toward, rather than away from, the full spectrum of my feelings.

My journey led me to explore and embrace my identities, and to find grounding in multiple communities. I’ve spent years unpacking my family’s history of migration, whiteness, and colonial inheritance, learning to locate myself with greater honesty, responsibility, and care. A profound turning point came with the death of my partner — an experience that broke me open, not only in grief, but in a complete transformation in the person I used to be. I found myself having unexplainable experiences, needing more than the human world to hold the immensity of what I was feeling. That time deepened my relationship with the natural world and with mystery, and continues to shape how I walk with others through their own thresholds.

What makes my approach unique is how our sessions weave together somatic trauma work, nature based interventions, and a queer, decolonial ethic of care. I'm not here to “fix” anyone and I am careful not to project my own inner truth onto others — I trust that each person holds their own deep wisdom. I’m drawn to the slow, relational work of healing: the way we unlearn urgency, befriend our nervous systems, and remember the parts of ourselves we’ve had to hide or forget.

What guides me in all of this is the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation — it unfolds in relationship: with ourselves, with each other, and with the living world around us. It would be an honor to walk alongside you.

OFFERINGS

  • Nature-based Therapy

Rooted in a commitment to disability justice, our nature-based sessions honor the diverse ways bodies and minds move through the world. I offer in-person sessions in the parks and natural spaces of Rochester, NY, where healing unfolds in connection with the living world. These sessions invite us to step outside traditional office settings and into environments where nature becomes an active, co-regulating presence in the therapeutic process.

Disability justice means co-creating accessible, flexible, and non-pathologizing care. Together, we choose locations that meet your mobility, sensory, and pacing needs. Whether we’re seated on a bench, walking slowly, or simply being with the land, your comfort and agency guide our work. Online and office-based sessions are also available when outdoor sessions are not accessible or desired.

Nature-based therapy can be especially supportive in times of grief, transition, or existential questioning. With a somatic and trauma-informed approach, we may explore inner child work, resourcing, and boundary repair, while attuning to the rhythms of the body and the land. The slower pace and sensory richness of natural spaces help regulate the nervous system and create space for reflection, integration, and reconnection.

Sessions are shaped collaboratively to respect your goals, access needs, and the depth of your unique path. Rates are $160/hour with sliding scale available.

  • Somatic Trauma Therapy

For residents of New York State and Colorado, I offer therapy via telehealth or phone. My therapeutic approach is deeply somatic and trauma-informed, grounded in a queer, decolonial framework that honors your full lived experience. I critically engage with the systemic and cultural forces that often pathologize or marginalize identities, creating a compassionate space where healing can unfold authentically and safely.

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach that recognizes the intimate connection between the mind, body, and nervous system in healing from trauma, stress, and emotional dysregulation. Trauma and overwhelming experiences are often stored not just in memory, but physically—in muscle tension, breath patterns, posture, and nervous system activation. Somatic therapy helps you become aware of these bodily sensations and responses, allowing you to safely process and release stored tension or trauma.

Using evidence-based modalities from my trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing, I tailor each session to your unique needs — always moving at a pace that respects and listens to your body. This relational and embodied work supports reconnecting with your internal resources, fostering resilience, and cultivating a stronger sense of safety and presence in daily life.

Sessions are $160/hr with a few sliding scale spots available.
